MONITORING STUDENTS' SOCIAL MEDIA USAGE

The management of a good school should make an effort to promote responsible digital citizenship by  reinforcing its policy regarding the unauthorized use of electronic devices at school. Walkmans, mobile phones, smart watches, laptops, electronic games, and other contraband items *must not* be brought to school. Any such items brought to school without prior permission from school authorities should be confiscated and not released directly to the students.

Go the extra mile to solicit the support of parents in this matter. At home, it is equally important to monitor children's use of social media, ensuring they engage with these platforms only for productive purposes that enhance their learning.

As the First Term Examination draws near, parents should be  encouraged to engage with their children's studies and remove any potential distractions during this important time.
