As I was expressing my gratitude to God, He instructed me to write about the crucial role of *positive relationships* in having our needs met.
Beloved, no matter how talented, anointed, wealthy, or powerful you may be, you will still need someone, whom God will link to you, for your needs to be met. In other words, your connections with the right people will determine your collection (what you receive in life). Whenever God blesses someone, He often uses another person to do so.
Just yesterday, I wrote about the incredible achievements of the superstar Super Eagles player, Ademola Lookman. He is, of course, a highly skilled and talented footballer, but to win the prestigious CAF Men's Player of the Year award, he needed the votes of other players. His father commented that Ademola is humble and focused. Truly, he is, and this has helped him to maintain good relationships with his teammates both on and off the pitch, in the national team, and with his club. The Bible verse from 2 Kings 4:3 says, " *_Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few."_*
This verse highlights the importance of maintaining positive relationships with others. The widow of a deceased prophet approached Prophet Elisha because her late husband had established a good connection with the man of God. Ultimately, the instructions she needed to follow for her financial breakthrough were linked to how well she had interacted with her neighbours. Imagine if she had been unable to approach any of her neighbours for empty vessels due to poor relationships—she would not have received the breakthrough she was seeking. You need someone’s “vessel” of bright ideas, unwavering support, elevated position, right connections, and recommendations for success in life.
Therefore, don’t isolate yourself. Connect and collaborate with the people around you. Build new friendships with those who can foster your growth and development. Engage in positive relationships with everyone, because you never know who will be in a position to help you in the future.
